Nate is a super sweet goldendoodle boy in search of his forever family. He was very scared and shut down when he first arrived to rescue. He has made great progress with his foster family but will need a little extra help with socialization and confidence building.

Nate does very well with the two large dogs in the home - he has learned so much from them.

Nate is crate trained and doing well with housetraining. 

Nate is scheduled for his neuter on 2/22 - he will need to be adopted locally if adopted prior to his surgery.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - leash walking is still very much a work in progress.
  • Confident resident to help teach Nate how to be a dog.
  • Family with the time & patience required to raise, train, and socialize a puppy.

Nate is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. He is scheduled to be neutered on 2/22 with the rescue's veterinarian. His adoption fee is $650 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
