Winston is fun loving cavalier that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

Winston is loving his new life and insists on following his foster mom everywhere she goes! He loves to be outside and will chase after things floating in the air (leaves, bugs, etc.)

Winston is working hard on his housetraining and doing well but will need continued consistency. He does great with the other dogs and cat in his foster home.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Home with a confident resident dog preferred.

Winston has been neutered and received a dental cleaning (with 5 extractions) while in rescue. He is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 plus tax.

More about Winston

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Playful, Affectionate, Goofy

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
