Hannah is a shy but very sweet little Shih Tzu. She came to SFCR as a breeder release.

Hannah loves the other dogs in her foster home - they make a very big difference and help her feel so much more confident.

She has not shown any interest in toys yet and is a little unsure about being picked up and held but is gradually becoming more comfortable with it.

Hannah is still working on her housetraining but is very good about keeping her kennel clean overnight which is awesome.

Hannah will need a patient family who is willing to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and confident.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences.
  • Resident dog to help boost Hannah's confidence and show her to "dog".

Hannah has been spayed and also had a much needed dental. She tested negative for heartworm & tick borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax.

More about Hannah

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
