Harper is simply a little love bug. She is happiest when sitting/sleeping in her foster mom's lap. She is 150% lap dog and would love to be able to sleep in bed with her forever family. Harper is currently crated overnight but this is definitely not her preference.

Harper has done incredibly well with her housetraining - not a single accident. That's not to say accidents cannot/won't happen during the transition to her forever home/family.

She is such a smart little girl and mingles well with other dogs.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Similar sized resident dog preferred but not required.
  • Harper needs an adult only home or one with older, dog savvy kids only.

Harper has been spayed and received an extensive dental with multiple extractions while in rescue. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

More about Harper

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good for Seniors/Elderly, Cratetrained, Likes to be in your lap

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
