Gracie is a darling little Shih Tzu who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeder. She was in rough shape when she arrived to rescue but is looking and feeling so much better now.

Gracie is timid - especially when meeting new people. She just needs a little extra time to warm up and trust that she is safe. She is still nervous about being picked up and will go belly up when reached for but is not nippy at all. Gracie will need a person with a calm and gentle touch willing to give her the extra time she needs to acclimate. 

Gracie is crate trained and doing very well with her housetraining. She does great with the other dogs and even the cat in her foster home. She will make someone a wonderful little companion.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Confident (similar sized) resident dog to help teach Gracie how to be a dog.

Gracie has been spayed and received a much needed dental cleaning with extractions. She is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, tested negative for heartworm & tick borne disease, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.
