Sadie is a darling mini goldendoodle who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. 

She was very shut down when she first arrived to rescue but is building more and more confidence every day!

Sadie is crate trained and doing well with her housetraining but will need continued consistency in her new home. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and doesn't mind the cat either.

Sadie can be a little bit slow to warm up to new people and just needs a little extra time and patience. 

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - Sadie is a breeder release dog and not familiar or comfortable with wearing a harness and walking on a leash. She also startles easily and would be considered a flight risk.
  • Confident resident dog to continue to help Sadie build confidence and learn how to "dog".
  • Quieter home with older, dog savvy kids. 

Sadie has been spayed and received a dental cleaning while in rescue (it is likely she will need regular dental cleanings throughout her life). She is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, tested negative for heartworm & tick borne diseases, and microchipped. Sadie weighs 19 pounds, her adoption fee is $600 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
