Hercules is a gentle and very handsome cavalier boy that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

Hercules is on the larger end for cavaliers (around 27 pounds) but that just means he has extra love to give :)

He is loving his new life as a very loved house dog and doing very well with his housetraining. Hercules does great with the other dogs and cat in his foster home too.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Home with a confident resident dog preferred.

Hercules has been neutered and received a dental cleaning while in rescue. He is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, tested negative for heartworm & tickborne diseases, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 plus tax.

More about Hercules

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Even-tempered, Gentle

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
