Felix is a handsome Cavalier that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. He is working hard on his housetraining and doing very well. He is very gentle and has the sweetest personality. Felix loves mealtimes, romping around with the other dogs in his foster home, and just being by his foster mom's side. Felix is a bit skittish at first and needs a little time to warm up to new people and environments.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Felix has been neutered and received a very extensive dental while in rescue. He is current on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax. More about FelixGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid, Even-tempered, Gentle *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
