Chewie is an adorable little shih tzu that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. Chewie came to us with an old injury to her left eye which resulted in the eye becoming very swollen and visionless. Chewie had the injured eye surgically removed while in rescue and has recovered beautifully.

Chewie is loving her life as a beloved house dog and loves romping around with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is doing well with housetraining but will need continued consistency.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep Chewie safe when outside. She has never worn a harness or been on a leash and has limited vision with only one eye. A physically fenced in yard is a must for her.
  • Quiet, patient, adult-only home would be best for Chewie.

Chewie has been spayed and received a dental with several extractions while in rescue. She tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax.
