Willow is a sweet mini aussie that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. She is very timid at first and needs plenty of time to warm up to new people and environments.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep Willow safe when outside - she has never been on a leash and harness and will dart if startled.
  • Confident resident dog to help teach Willow how to be a dog.
  • Patient adult home willing to help Willow continue to build confidence.

Willow has been spayed and received a dental cleaning with a few extractions will in rescue. She also had an inguinal hernia surgically repaired. Willow tested negative for heartworm and tick borne disease, is current on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

More about Willow

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
