Salute is a very sweet little Chihuahua mix searching for his forever family. He is very friendly and loves all people! He does ok with the female dog in his foster home but does not seem to care for other male dogs much. He is working hard on his housetraining and is crate trained. Salute would do well in a home with older, respectful children only due to his size. Salute would love a home with a fenced in yard to run around in! Salute likes to bark at times so therefore, would not do well in an apartment. Salute is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm & tick borne illnesses, started on monthly heartworm & flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. Salute is estimated to be around 1 year old, he weighs 8 pounds, and his adoption fee is $400 plus tax. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
