Lady is a wonderful senior gal that came to SFCR due to her owners unexpectedly passing away. She is sweet as can be and loves to be with her people as much as possible. Lady's ideal home would include a family member that is home most of the time. Lady does not seem to mind the cats and other dogs in her foster home and should do well in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. Lady loves her stuffed monkey and blanket, she also responds to basic commands and has really good recall. Lady is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, started on heartworm & flea/tick prevention, microchipped, and received a dental cleaning while in rescue. Lady's adoption fee is $300 plus tax.
More about LadyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good for Seniors/Elderly *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
