Pepper is female mini poodle who came to SFCR after being retired from a commercial breeding program. A note from her foster momma: Pepper is a shy, sweet little girl who loves to play and follow her foster sister around. She enjoys running outside in the backyard, bully sticks, chew toys, and of course treats! Pepper will need time to warm up but once she does, she will quickly lick your hand and even let you shake her paw. We are still working on her offering her paw to shake. She knows what it means and will put weight on opposite leg so that you can shake the other paw when you say "shake other one". She knows that brushing her teeth means she going to get a dental stick. She knows to potty outside and hasn't had any accidents since the first day she came. She has learned she will be taken out regularly. Usually every 2-4 hours during the day and then again right before bed and first thing in the morning. Pepper gets along great with her foster sister and they sleep in the same kennel at night. They even share a dog bed during the day while I work at my desk.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Pepper has been spayed and also had a dental. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped.
