*Skipper will be available for adoption after her spay/dental on 9/22 Notes from Skipper's foster family :) - Skipper is a curious, loving little lady. She wants to be right where the action is! Loud noises and quick movements might give her a little scare but once she realizes she's okay, she's right back at it. She loves watching TV (reality shows are a favorite, the people are exciting to watch!) and cuddling up with a warm blanket. She would make a wonderful companion for a family with patience and willingness to expose her to new things at her pace. She's very adaptable, but needs a "safe space" to process all these new experiences. Skipper is currently working on house training. She does wonderful with potty pads, but doesn't quite get the point of "outside" just yet.

More about SkipperGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
