Cavalier King Charles Spaniel : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
Nora the Snore - Ah! Nora is a precious little cavalier that made her way to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. She is such a sweet little lady - her tail wags constantly and she loves it when foster mom talks to her! Like most cavaliers, Nora is a big snorer! Nora has come a long way since arriving to rescue but is still very timid and skittish, especially when meeting new people and when being approached/picked up. She has done so very well with her housetraining and goes in and out doors, up and down stairs without hesitation now! Nora gave us a huge scare shortly after arriving to rescue - she stopped breathing, turned blue, and had to be resuscitated while being groomed. Cavaliers are very prone to heart issues so that was our first concern. Nora did go in for a complete cardio work up and imaging was sent to a board certified veterinary cardiologist at Iowa State. We are thrilled to say Nora received wonderful news and has no underlying heart problems. Her incident will be discussed in more detail with approved applicants.
