Lorelei is a beautiful cocker spaniel in search of a family of her very own.

She is sweet as can be, very laid back, and all around a very happy dog. Lorelei spent the first 7 years of her life in a commercial breeding kennel producing litter after litter. She is so grateful to have that behind her and is enjoying her brand new life to the fullest.

Lorelei has done exceptionally well with her housetraining and is very intelligent. She is also crate trained and used to sleeping in a crate at night.

Lorelei loves everybody as well as the other dogs (and even cats) in her foster home. Her and the resident golden retriever in her foster home will play together off and on.

She is a very loving and affectionate dog, and deserves the very best.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe when outdoors (Lorelei is a breeder release dog and is not familiar with wearing a harness or collar and walking on a leash yet)
  • Confident resident dog preferred but not required

Lorelei has been spayed and received an extensive dental while in rescue (9 extractions), tested negative for heartworm & tick borne diseases, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 plus tax.

More about Lorelei

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
