Rose is an incredibly sweet and affectionate cavalier that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

Rose loves to run around her foster family's fenced backyard and romp around with the other dogs - she also enjoys chewing on Nylabones. 

Rose has a grade IV heart murmur that requires her to take a daily medication called Pimobendan (recommendation of veterinary cardiologist). Her heart condition is not curable but is manageable with medication and monitoring. Rose definitely doesn't let it stop her and does not have any cardiac symptoms at this time. She will need regular check ups with the veterinarian (every 6 months), her medication costs around $45 a month.

Rose is a very sweet girl with so much love to give.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Financially stable family willing and able to provide Rose with ongoing veterinary care and medication she needs.
  • Physically fenced in yard to keep Rose safe when outside (she has never been on a harness & leash).

Rose has been spayed and received an extensive dental cleaning with extractions while in rescue. Rose also had a cardiac ultrasound and radiographs sent to a veterinary cardiologist for review and consultation/recommendation. She is current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm & tick borne disease, current on monthly preventatives, and microchipped.
