Blue is a sweet schnauzer fella that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. He has the most beautiful, mesmerizing baby blues you will ever see!

He is doing awesome with his housetraining and does very well with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves to be right by his foster mom's side and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. Blue is learning all about toys and has done very well with his leash training. He is a great dog with so much love to give!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Priority will be given to applicants with a physically fenced in yard.
  • Patient family willing to give Blue the time he needs to acclimate and adjust.
  • Blue would love to go to a home with a confident resident dog to help teach him what being a dog is all about.

Blue has been neutered and received an extensive dental while in rescue, he is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
